Fundraiser Poker Night

Saturday, January 20, 2018 we are hosting our 2nd Annual Poker night Fundraiser at the gym, starting at 7:30pm.  There will be a maximum of 70 seats available and the entry fee is $50.00 per person for your poker chips.  We will have a $500 cash prize for the top winner plus additional prizes for the runner ups. Other top prizes include a pair of tickets in a private box for a Leafs game and a paid of Platinum Raptors tickets.  We also have gift certificates from many generous local businesses and restaurants in the Junction area and across Southern Ontario. Cash bar and food will be available.

Tickets must be purchased in advance as there will not be any available at the door.  You can speak with Richard at the gym to get your tickets now.








Fight Night XXXIV

Saturday February 24th, 2018 will be our 34th amateur fight show.
Doors open at 7:00pm, the fights begin at 8:00pm.

The regular price is $20.00 for everyone in advance or at the door.
Seating is limited so get there early!  Lots of Free Parking in the George Bell Arena Lot
Bouts are being announced on our website and Facebook pages.

The event is Sanctioned by Boxing Ontario and sponsored by Amsterdam Brewery.

Junmar Emon Wins A Bloody Tough Battle at Full Throttle

Emon Successful In Debut

In the opening bout of the evening Junmar Emon, of Toronto was successful in his pro debut as he defeated Daryl Person, now 0-2, of Hamilton by a four round unanimous decision.  The judge’s scores were 40-35 x 2 and 39-37.

There was a lot of nervous energy at the opening bell but Emon was able to land the harder cleaner combinations. Peron gave away his height advantage trying to fight inside which has a big mistake and he ate a lot of leather for doing so.  Early in the second round Emon caught Peron with a looping right hand that dropped him however the Hamilton fighter was up to his feet by eight.  Emon moved in looking to finish Peron off but he moved in too close and smothered his on punches and after 40 seconds of this he tired himself out which allowed Peron to trap him on the ropes and land solid punches as the round closed out.

Peron had no answer for Emon’s right hand and left hook to the head in the final two rounds.  Emon continued to chop away at Peron who looked stunned on several occasions. To Person’s credit however he never went down from the onslaught.
