Important Location Update for Stockyards Boxing Gym

Stockyards Boxing & Fitness is permanently located in the George Bell Arena, just steps from St. Clair and Runnymede in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood. While the arena undergoes renovations, we are training at a temporary location at 4231 Dundas Street West in Etobicoke. We plan to return to George Bell Arena once renovations wrap up in September 2026. Same coaches, same classes, same community. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Boxing Classes in Toronto for Every Level

Our boxing gym in West Toronto offers adult boxing classes and youth programs for all levels, from beginners to athletes. Each session blends conditioning, technique, and drills.

We offer a range of classes, including Boxing Basics for newcomers, Technical Boxing for advanced skill work, Youth Boxing for younger athletes, and Personal Boxing Training for one-on-one coaching. You can also train independently during our Open Gym sessions. Our classes stay small, meaning coaches work closely with every student on proper technique, form, and safe training habits.

Boxing Basics (Beginner Boxing Classes)

Boxing Basics is where students learn the fundamentals: stance, footwork, defensive movement, and proper punching form, all while building coordination, conditioning, and cardio fitness.

Students can expect to learn and train with bags, pads, gloves, and professional equipment while receiving detailed, hands-on instruction from our coaches. If you have never boxed before, this is the perfect place to begin.

Open Boxing Gym

Our open gym gives members flexible training hours in a fully equipped facility, including a professional boxing ring and heavy bags.

Train independently on drills, strength work, conditioning, or extra practice outside of regular classes. Ideal for experienced athletes, competitive fighters, and anyone preparing for tournaments who wants more time in the gym.

Technical Boxing

Technical Boxing classes focus on advanced combinations, defensive strategy, timing, precise footwork, and controlled sparring.

Designed for intermediate and competitive boxers, these sessions prepare fighters for amateur and professional competition. Training is rigorous, detail-oriented, and performance-driven, with coaching from fighters who have competed at the national level.

Youth Boxing

Youth Boxing for ages 9 to 16 builds confidence, coordination, and discipline. In a structured, coach-led setting, kids learn real boxing fundamentals like stance, footwork, defence, and proper punching form, and then progress into conditioning and controlled sparring at their own pace.

Classes stay small, so every young athlete gets individual attention in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Kids build fitness and focus while making friends, and parents often tell us how much the program helps them outside the gym, too.

Personal Boxing Training

Private boxing lessons at Stockyards let you learn in-depth boxing techniques in a one-on-one with a nationally certified boxing trainer and are built entirely around your goals. Whether your focus is technique, fitness, or competition, every session centers on you.

What Our Members Say

Real results, real community. Here’s what training at Stockyards is like.

★★★★★

“One of if not the best boxing clubs in Toronto. Coach Richard will get you in fight shape in no time. Come here if you’re serious about boxing.”

Neil
★★★★★

“Richard’s boxing achievements are well documented, but what may not be as well-known is his kindness, encouraging manner, clear instruction and professionalism. The pricing is beyond reasonable by today’s standards, and the level of care and attention is second to none. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.”

Marco
★★★★★

“I had such a great time and I’ve never sweat more in my entire life. Great coaches, great vibes. I’m a newbie and they were very nice to me and made me feel welcome.”

Sara
★★★★★

“Fantastically skilled, personable, and fun trainers, amazing facility — you get a vibe of simultaneously serious and fun from when you walk in. I love this place.”

Justin
★★★★★

“My favourite thing about Stockyards is it’s missing that common boxing gym attitude where you walk in and nobody wants to help you or take an interest in your development. Great culture and high level trainers.”

Dave
★★★★★

“Gym atmosphere is easy going and very welcoming! Trainers are well educated, funny and are always mixing things up to keep it interesting. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, Stockyards is definitely a place to check out and grow within.”
