Boxing Classes at Stockyards Boxing and Fitness

Check out some of our favourite boxing classes below, including beginner and adult boxing classes, open gym, kids boxing classes, and private training.

Boxing Basics (Best for Beginners)

Boxing Basics is a non-contact, cardio-driven class centred on fundamental boxing skills in a group environment. Sessions cover stance, movement, punch mechanics, and defence, making it ideal for all experience levels.

If you’re new to boxing, this is the perfect introduction. Your first class will be both welcoming and challenging. Expect a full-body workout that builds real skills, burns calories, and boosts coordination as you practice footwork and combinations on bags and pads.

Beginners and experienced members train together, ensuring you’re never learning alone. The class is accessible, well-structured, and truly enjoyable.

Open Gym (Best for Independent Training)

Open gym lets you train whenever you like, at your preferred pace. There’s no instructor guiding classes, just you and the equipment. Work on your technique, get in a boxing workout, or concentrate on conditioning and strength training.

Members can use the heavy bags, speed bags, weight room, and boxing ring anytime the gym is open. It’s the perfect setting to push yourself on your own terms, whether you’re training for a specific goal or just want more time on the bags.

Youth Boxing (Best for Kids & Teens)

Our youth boxing program offers a structured, safe, and supportive environment for kids and teens aged 9 to 16 to learn real boxing skills.

Athletes start with the fundamentals of stance, footwork, and defence, then progress into conditioning and sparring sessions at their own pace. Coaches give personalized attention and training plans that grow with each athlete, building fitness, confidence, and discipline.

Boxing also teaches focus and teamwork and provides a positive outlet. Many parents tell us the benefits show up well outside the gym.

Private Training (Best for Fast Progress)

Personal training and private lessons are designed for everyone, whether you’re just starting out or preparing for competition. Pick from 30- or 60-minute one-on-one sessions, or train alongside a partner in a two-person session.

Our certified coaches customize every session to your specific goals and skill level, helping you improve your technique and advance faster than in group classes alone.
